When Emily Adams Bode founded her eponymous label, Bode (pronounced Boh-dee), she did so with the intention of expressing a sentimentality for the past through her creations. The White House Steps Quilt is a reproduction of a late 19th-century design that showcases the unique 'White House Steps' quilt block. This block, a variation of the classic Log Cabin design, is one of the oldest known quilt patterns in both Europe and America. It also boasts a floral calico backing, adding a charming touch to the overall design.
